Why do google always show less back links than other search engines?

Hi,

Its true that google always not show all link backs to a website. If you wish to Google calculate all backlinks in their indexing then include a link back page link in your resources page. By this way when Google spider crawl your resources page at the same time they found the link back URL and cache the page that consist your link. This is the simple and effective to get real benefit of all link back websites.

Bhavesh, maybe i am wrong but with this technique you may devalue the one way links to link exchanges, and that is not a very smart step in my opinion.

Thot that most likely Google covers only 20% of your backlinks in site that has PR5 and above?

On our site below, the Google search engine shows 137 backlinks, but the sitemap we have installed shows that Google records over 800 backlinks to us - very few no follows are amongst them. The Iweb tool shows about 250 backlinks.

everyone is asking that, and want all backlink to show up.
google just dont want to do that.... for some reason off-course.

For the best indication of what Google sees for your backlinks sign your site up for Google Webmaster Tools The list will show all links (only updates every couple of months) including those which are nofollow, just like Yahoo does. It shows the internal and external links depending on which you select. Just because a link is shown does NOT mean you are getting any credit for the link - Google gives no credit for nofollowed links yet as I said they will be displayed. If you have not yet signed up for this Google service I suggest you do and submit an xml site map. The tool also gives you an overview of your top 20 keywords/phrases and where they place in Google search.

Yes, Google backlink update once in a few month.. you'll just notice that they will provide new results on your site's back links, but not all of it will be displayed..
