![]() | Hello Mate I know what you mean - I've only managed to get two sites listed in DMOZ. These were both non-commercial sites. I've often wondered if DMOZ has a bias against commercial sites. Cheers Paul

![]() | Most of my sites are gambling related and I think they don't like them. I have been trying for years to get one of my shopping sites on 2. I just gave up - stuff them if they dont want to add my sites - they are missing out on some of the greatest websites

![]() | I think it really just depends on who and how many reviewers are working the given categories. Mine falls into a very specific niche and I don't think there's anyone even looking at the submissions. ![]() I'm seriously thinking about applying to be a reviewer... |

![]() | Your first step is to visit the website of Open Directory Project: http://www.dmoz.org. You will be able to select a category and subcategories for your website and add your website's URL. Make sure that you selected the correct category and subcategory. Incorrect selection may result in longer waiting period or rejection. Also read and follow the provided instructions and requirements very carefully http://www.sitetube.com/promotion/ge...-at-dmoz.shtml |

![]() | The procedure is straightforward, but they seem totally against any kind of commercial site or anybody wanting to enhance search engine performance. You might as well try and get a job at google. Forget it! Your best bet is to forget it and submit elsewhere. |

![]() | I actually applied to be an editor on it. It was denied. Apparently they felt I'd have a conflict of interest because I sell products related to the area I'd be potentially editing. I suppose from their point of view - better safe, than sorry. However, I couldn't disagree more with the denial of the application. Oh well... |

![]() | Since you mention it. Have checked and found out that most of my big competitors have high Google Indexed Page (100 above). Maybe that's the key. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | What to do if you submit to a section without an editor and nothing happens. Is it worth applying?

![]() | Many webmasters have completely forgotten about DMOZ nowadays, their links are not going to do a magic anymore, just links and in many cases, they are too deep. |
