![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have an interesting question, or at least i think it's interesting. Nowadays most of the websites are built up with div tags and external stylesheets. I also use this combination. I know that hiding text may cause serious penelties by search engines. I think we don't have to wait until one of our competitors will use the spam report form I think googlebot is smart enough to recognise the cheats even if we diabled the crawling at the css folder using robots.txt. So I belive that display:block style attributum can be very dangerous. But what about the drop down css menus? Most of or all of them use the previously mentioned style. What do you think about this? Can that also cause to get penalized?
