 |  domain name for free,why? one of website I have visited said that some domain names can be registered for free,is it possible,can i register? |

| Re: domain name for free,why? perhaps it is possible,but these domain names are useless. most free domain names are sub domains like http://www.yahoo.com mail.yahoo.com shop.yahoo.com. www,mail and shop are all subdomain of yahoo,They didn't produce a power guarantee, can repeat, not global unique, because of use the square have no ownership to area, it may be thrown at any time. you can find a cheap registrar to register domain name,I register my domain name on http://www.plusregister.com ,as I know it is cheap. |

| Re: domain name for free,why? I know MS office live offer free domain name and basic plan. But the domain only be used in the plan. You can't transfer and forward until you cancel your plan. Most of web hosting providers offer free domain for its web hosting plan. Quote:

| Re: domain name for free,why? I agree no such thing as a free lunch. Domain names are cheap anyway, just a few bucks a piece. I usually register with godaddy as i like thier control panel and admin features. Steer clear of thier hosting though (i hear) |
