eBay reportedly in 'advanced talks' for StumbleUpon


Internet auction site eBay is in "advanced talks" to acquire Web-ratings site StumbleUpon, according to a report Tuesday night in The Wall Street Journal (subscription required). The deal could be worth $75 million according to the newspaper, which cited unnamed sources.

That is an odd combination really isn't it? I mean to say where is the benefit for ebay in getting SU? No real crossover between their services.

Google are eying up another massive purchase apparently. I was told last week and I am so fed up Of Everything Google related that I ignored it

That is a strange buyout.

I agree about Google getting me all peeved....I try to follow Matt Cutts blog as often as I can, but most of what he presents is another way for Google to control the internet and the people that build the internet. I can't wait for Google to go down.

I don't believe that stumbleupon is that good an investment.

Google could be much worse!!! come on give them a break! Just coz they are worth over 50 Billion, what would you do? Buy the internet!? They could BUY eBay if they wanted to lol
