I have been doing some looking around trying to find some inspiration for the Linkslinky site design, and I found a blog directory template contest. I found a great example that I borrowed a lot of my inspiration from. Could you tell me what you think of my (rough draft) new design?

I thought that would look good too, but with the black border, you couldn't really tell that there was a drop shadow.

How bout this, go grey for the border and black for the shadow, while make the header links white in color(i think it is now white)

It would be blended, if the bottom, popular sites and etc.. background are yellow, one of your logo color.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I was thinking the same thing David, using a light yellow on the backgrounds for the lower sections. I'll give it a try and let you know what I think.

Thankyou. I did another experiment with some colors, but I'm not sure if I like it or not:

I think that maybe it takes away from the readability, and possibly makes it look unprofessional. Other than that, I like it. What do you guys think?

Wow that does look great. Although the bottom part is way too bright. It looked great before with the light blue background in the boxes.
