Mid Missouri state of emergency! I think its time to get rid of my house i think i can get a little extra money tonight by suckering someone into buying the place since the town i live in is a close to being flooded. You cant beat the water front view it should up the property value!
Anyhow, i live about 500 yards from the Missouri river, and mother nature decide to put the river about 50 yards from my back door so far. The land wont stop flooding till thursday/friday. Its rising two foot an hour till 6 am. Long story short, my house is going to be 5 ft deep in water within the next 48 hours. Its really not that big of a deal if it goes down fast after it has maxed, but if my home sits under water for days it will get nasty.

So in other words, i guess I'm going to try to figure out how to survive with out the Internet for an X? amount of time.
Well I'm off to bed so i can get ready to remove everything from my home starting tomorrow morning.

Sorry to hear that You'll be without internet. Screw the house save Your modem. OK. jokes aside.
Sorry to hear about the flood. It sure puts a dent in the day. I hope it won't stay for long though. The only thing I can suggest (as an ex carpenter) get rid of any carpets before water gets there. I could lend You my mother in law, she is so big she make a good barrier.
