Default iWEBTOOL thumbnail

Just a curious question

Why is it that when it comes to displaying the thumbnails of free hosted forums, it just shows the providing host, not the forums per-sí. But it shows when it comes to a free hosted web site it shows the web site.

Gee… I hope I was clear in my question

Thanks!

Hi there,

Because it shows the main home page of the website. So if someone types the URL http://www.iwebtool.com/tools/ it Thumbnails would point to http://www.iwebtool.com/ . I don't know why but it just does.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

Have I got the plague or something ?

I posted a similar question, a few threads down and nobody has answered - do we have little cliques going on here or what ?

This forum makes me wonder sometimes, you ask serious questions and make serious offers that just go ignored - then people start threads about garbage that get hundreds of replies

Don't take this personal
I come to this forum every day and just click on "new post"...after that i just look at the titles...and read if they look interesting to me.
That way, I know that I missed some good and/or interesting posts...but it's all a matter of time.

Well you should check other threads for the same question, and the threads obviously don't contain garbage if they are catching interest. Don't take it personally like Bisje said, some threads get replied to and instantly your thread could be down the list. I am an administrator and the second most active person on the whole forum and some of my threads don't get answered, it's just the way the forum works.

Just bump your thread if it hasn't had a reply (but not often, maybe once after 1/2 days if no one has replied). But if your thread has has loads of views but no replies then obviously your thread isn't interesting...it happens to all of us, and I understand your impatience, I have asked for things which are urgent before and no one has replied for ages.

If you are ever stuck and you can't find a older relavent thread, check the FAQ's, then ask in the forums, if you still have no luck then submit a support ticket on the main iWEBTOOL contact page. Hope this answered some of questions and washed away some worries you may of had.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

This is unfortunately true. A part of the key is in the title.
I did a survey a while back to find out where forum users went first, the winner was "todays posts".
So if there have been alot, then an important one may be missed.
Also you have to remember there are alot here looking for advice who will not have the skills level to answer your question, so if on that day its mostly "the un-experienced" logged in your questoin may not be answered.
I have posted before with little response, posted again with a different title text, with loads of response.
And yes the "rubbish" can attract the largest response, but to some this may not seem rubbish, dont forget there are alot here who love to contribute but have no skills to do so , therefor those so called rubbish post are the only oppertunity they may have.
Ok ive babbled enough but i think you get the general idea ......
