![]() | I checked out site caches, rankings etc of my pages on MSN after a long while, and I'm quite surprised - MSN seems to be more up-to-date than any other search engine, even Google. Can anyone confirm this? I hope Google catches up quickly, MSN is terrible with all their ads etc...would be a shame if they killed Google |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | MSN Search is said to have more specific and updated information than Google. Nevertheless, MSN is far behind Google. I don't tink MSN will be taking over Google any time soon, they only have a approx 10% of the searchers on the internet.

![]() | After making a few more tests I can confirm that. If, for instance, I enter "mycompany shop" MSN cannot find the shop page at all, Google finds it easily, #1 seems MSN got a couple of issues here+there. |

| Regular Member | MSN is definitely better at finding sites. My site was no. 1 in 4 days there in Google its at 50+ now and Yahoo its at 100+ ![]()

![]() | Yeah, it seems to find pages very quickly but has a big problem putting the whole picture together. Quite a few SERPs don't make any sense, the link popularity concept doesn't seem to work nearly as good as yahoo/google. |

![]() | MSN does find it fast but they do not deep crawl quickly. Same goes for Google and Yahoo. The sandbox? In any event, ASK deep crawled my one site very new and took of 2GB of bandwidth in the first month. Yet they have only give 1 as in ONE user from their index! |

![]() | You will find that MSN is great on updating and indexing. Most of my sites get cached / indexed ever 3 - 7 days. When I build a new site, they are the first to pick it up as well. The traffic received from them is much lower however. Still Google gets around 66% of all search queries. MSN is getting ready to try and fight back. I posted this statement on another section. Get ready for MSN to grow and get stronger. I find it easy to get high in MSN right now. I can hit #1 with most of my sites and I don't mean for my site name either.I'm talking about hard keywords. MSN does NOT rely heavily on back links at this time While it is some what a factor with them, I can get a site listed and in the number 1 - 8 slot within 10 days. (No links at all) MSN however is getting ready to position themselves. They have launched their own pay-per-click testing pages. I was invited to test with them. They also are coming out with a new BETA system. It will start to use the same system as google with link checker. There is some talk about any site with a PR checker bar on it being banned from the searches as well. Keep an eye on them.

![]() | Yup i think msn is way better than google and it visits my site more often than google does, i think googlebot has become lazy. my site sits at #2 for just the key word a1 web and out of 1,359,921 results containing a1 web its #2 so that just tells about how much effort msn is making. Whereas do same search on google and my site wont even show up anywhere. Plus try command link:www.urdomain on msn and same on google and look at the difference. Cheers
