![]() ![]() | I have a question about Google's spiders. I was going to ask Matt about it, but I am tired of hearing their cheesy excuses and wanna get other peoples ideas. Why is it that Google's spider go through my forum (which is very much empty and useless) twice a day, meanwhile it has not yet accounted for all the back links to my sites? Yahoo has already accounted for the backlinks (over 700) for my main site and is starting to count for the other sites. The funniest part is that I haven't even bothered with Yahoo to index my sites in any way, but I constantly go into Google's webmaster central and all that to get their attention. |

![]() ![]() | Why is it that google goes through your forum twice a day? Have you disabled session Id's for guests? if not google thinks it is finding lots and lots of new pages everytime it visits, when in fact it is just indexing the same page multiple times creating a duplicate content issue ![]() Why has Google not accounted for the backlinks? It has, it just doesn't display them all. By the way, give my regards to 'Matt' (cutts I assume) next time You meet ![]()

![]() ![]() | That's the thing. The forum is totally empty. I have set it up, but I don't use it yet. I am waiting to be able to get some advertising and some free time. Plus I will need someone as moderators there. For now I am too busy with other work. I'll check on session IDs however, but it doesn't get any traffic really anyways. As for Matt Cutts. I am certainly not a friend of his. I despise his constant excuses for Google and the promotion of squeezing out hard working webmasters. Although I do agree, finally, on some of the ideas about paid links disclosure I do think that most of them are coming out of Google's inability to handle everything that they started out to do. |

![]() | All this is very interesting to me. And yeah... I don't understand half of it. But what do you guys know about inktomisearch.com? My forum gets hit, tons a day by it... is it good or bad? Plus goggle, msn and Yahoo comes and goes... but when I try to do a search for myself nothing pulls up. So what are these spiders all about? Thanks! |

![]() ![]() | I don't know much about inktomesearch. Although the name is very familiar. Spiders Crawl around Your site and get all the information about it. Your sites title, keywords and so on. You can see for Your self the info that they see from Your site use this and at the bottom on the right side You will see the spidereview of the website tool link. Just enter Your sites domain and it will show You exactly what those spiders see. Or use the iWebtool tool (same thing). Bots (someone correct me if I am wrong) are the ones responsible for indexing Your site. I'd suggest that You also enter Your sites into the Google's index (if You haven't done that, yet). If Your host allows You access to ftp or some sort of file manager You can use their webmaster central to help Google with indexing Your site and all that. |
