Found High Page-Rank Back-Link Heaven

i recently checked some domains of mine for back-links and found somthing very interesting.

i noticed some of my posts in a forum i used awhile ago were PR2 now ...

Wow i thought thats kinda cool right?

I went to the forum in question and what i found left my jaw wide open.

Because that particular forum is so huge and not a large amount of active users the PR of some threads were a google page rank 2 all the way to thread a pr5.

weird thing was hardly Nobody except the original poster had posted a anything in these threads

That leaved oh say 20 more posts for a free PR5 link .. .

So i of course made my contribution and posted a reply happily posting my URL in my on multiple pR5 pages

so i then went back to the category section and stared checking other threads which all were the same as the above.

I just could believe my eyes ... by the time i was finished i had very tired fingers from typing so much but came out with over

5 PR5 backlinks
6 PR4 back-links
10 PR3 backlinks
18 PR2 backlinks

mmmm back-links... reason this is so is because of the lack of usage on this board.

usually when a thread accumulates PR its far to late to add you post to get a back-link from it as your response would end up on page 4 or so with zip PR

I am not going to post the forum URL as i believe its disrespectful to not only IWEBTOOL's forum and to the one i was talking about above.

Note: I am a member of the forum and all my replies were a contribution to it not simple 2 word responses intended soley for back-links aka spam

I will only reveal the URL if a moderator or admin say its ok but by then who knows may be no more room .. Lol

This is a perfect example of why backlinks are so important in sig's as eventually they will gain PR ... i have seen some on here already that have gon up ..

Same here... Many posts are now PR2. Its great, thats the beauty of it all.

Just curious if that page is using the nofollow tag or not.

well its actually a forum and no there is no "nofollow" tag

but that bring up an interesting topic. i found a cool tool that will help you with your links.. Nofollow tags are really bad as most of u know.

To detect them i found a really nifty adon for firefox called SeoQuake

When enabled it will actually put a line through links with the "nofollow" tag
on all the pages your surf.

This way your not forced to go through code to check.

For example .. Right now in my browser My name "Richard Joseph" above my aviator is crossed out. meaning that link has the no follow tag

Hi there,

A lot of my backlinks are from forums, and some old topics I have posted in ages ago now have high PR. I noticed this but I am going to keep the really high ones secret since I'll get more link juice from them

.

But to tell you the truth I wouldn't jump to doing this since the webmaster for those websites may think you are bumping old thread for spam purposes and ban you. But if you can find a thread of interest then I would use it.

As for the nofollow tag I don't think it affect the PR juice, simply tells Google not to follow and crawl that link.

Thing is, my site has lots of backlinks that may show up on other search engines but google says I don't have them. What is the secret to google finding those backlinks? Some of my links are on directories with a good google ranking so I am sure that they are being crawled. Is the problem that google doesn't like the link pages where there is a reciprocle link?

I was really happy when I noticed my forum posts getting PR rankings a few months ago. Funny thing is, the other people on this particular forum DID NOT like that it was happening to them! they were concerned about privacy.

Im not sure if any of you have used www.ozzu.com forums. But i just lealized they implement the no follow tag on every post. hmm what are your thoughts on this ?

Well that is entirely their choice, people have different reasons to why they do things like this, ask them why, they will probably have a good reaoson.
