Back Link Help

From what I read, I need to back link all my other pages back to my index page. My question is, I made a menu down at the bottom of my page to link to all the other pages on the site. Are menu links considered back links by the spider.

yep, all your pages will be find by the spider.

Yes, that kind of links counts as backlinks but marked as internal links. Backlinks points to your site from different domains in general. But there is some common thing. It worth using keywords in the anchor text concerning both the external and the internal links.

Backlinks are generally referring to links from external websites. These will help bring spiders to your site and get it indexed as well as giving your site some SE juice to help raise your rankings.

Your internal linking structure should allow a spider to find all pages on your site without having to go to far from your index.

I reccommend that all pages on your site should not be more than 4 (prefeably 3) clicks from your index page, whatever route that may be, via sitemap, category pages etc.

I have an account thru http://hostmonster.com which allows me to host multiple domain names from one FTP account. Will a spider read links between the different URLs as internal or backlinks?

Different URLs will count as backlinks, but they will be from the same ip address unless you acquire a unique IP address for each of your domains.
