 |  SMF Forum Questions Does anyone here use SMF for there forums? If so, what Mods do you use/ suggest. I have some problems with SMF Arcade that I cannot figure out, and if anyone knows where I can find inventory items for SMF Shop 2.0, that would be awesome.

| Re: SMF Forum Questions Hey HouseOfRock, I'm a major SMF supporter - I'd recommend installing any mods that you think would benefit your forum. It's that simple. You can install mods (called Packages) with the package manager in the admin panel - no download or FTP is required to install SMF mods, I really love this feature. Unfortunately not all mods install correctly. Inventory items for the shop mod... not sure on this but I'd like to find a list of some pre-made ones too. I think most of them - if not all - have to be custom-coded.

Yea, the packaged items leave a lot to be desired, but my PHP is not quite up to snuff to create my own (I may try eventually). Oh, well. I did know about the package installer, but do you have any particular reccommendations as to which mods are your favorites? James

Yes that's true. There is a thread in the official forum (simplemachines.org) for every mod. About the shop products, I think there are many of them with the script, but you can allways make yours (if you are a little familliar with php)

 | Re: SMF Forum Questions I had used SMF for only 1 Day , I think it's an impressive B-B Software but not my type as the styles are not intresting like vBulletin and phpBB and mods are not extensive. Anyways, Good Luck with SMF! |
