Default Traffic Advice

Just need a bit of advice or guides if anyone knows.

Ok, i've setup gecku.co.uk and it's gained allot of traffic over the last 72 hours.

I've had over 600 Submisions and 5 Sitewide link sales, but the only reson for this happening was because of me pushing the advertisment on several forums.

What i need now is some advice on how to carry on getting regular traffic without me having to push my posts 24/7 on forums.

I've tryed submitting to hundreds of thousands of directorys, but as many of you know, the majority dont even get much of a human visits (only time people visit a directory is to submit there link)

Is there any other ways of brining regular traffic to the site?

Please post any links or guides, while i visit the bank

Rich

Hi there,

You see that banner on the top of every page on iWEBTOOL Talk? Well it is a text-link advertising service and they are excellent at getting good text-links for you and working around a budget, this should bring in regular traffic for your directory.

That traffic within the last 72 should be usual if you have advertised through forums. So was this through reciprocal or paid links, because you would of made a good couple of quid?

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

90% of the money made was Selling sitewide links. The rest was actualy paid links.

So for the moment, i'm not getting much back off the site, not untill i get a higher pagerank.

I'm looking for somthing either free or low cost at the moment, i dont mind paying once i know i got a regular income flowing.

Hi there,

I don't mean to sound daft but you have to lose some to gain some. I usually use my own money out my pocket to promote and market, and it always pays off.

Spend a couple of hundred quid on promotion every few months for about a year, and then sit back, relax and watch all the natural visitors and revenue roll in .

It has always worked with me, especially if you use some sort of ad revenue service anyway.

Kieran Taylor.

Hi there

Getting traffic to your site can take time, the main thing you need to employ is patience, also look out for good deals in RELEVANT text links to your website, it sounds like you have been working hard promoting your site, well my advice is to keep doing it, try to get as many relevant links as you can.

It can take a long long time to get a decent rank on google which can bring you in lots of traffic, unfortuanatly that takes a lot of hard work theres no easy way around it, but you do not need to spend lots of money on promotion as you just need to learn how to spot a good deal and try different things.

You might want to try a pay per click campaign and throw some money at it but that isnt always the best solution as for the banner across the top i had a very bad experiance with text link ads.com i would not use them again $120 for a text link pg rank of 6 on somones blog i dont think so !!!!!!!!!

Well that is why they give you the choice in what links to choose, they refer them, you make the choice on which ones to buy...plus a blog can be a good way of getting HUGE traffic.

Digital-Media make the choice for yourself, but I know plenty of people that have used TextLinkAds and have increased their sales by a couple of hundred percent.

the traffic is strategy.... and you can not increase your traffic in one night
be patient ....
if you want to grow up .... you have to make advertisment
and of course you have to improve your product for your customers

What the hell? I have been pushing my directory like crazy. And all I got was 67 links. I have over 700 backlinks on each directory. Google does not show it yet, but I use the some of the linkexchange services. And I check their backlinks manually.
