Lightbulb Help needed in improving search results (where am i going wrong?)

Can I get some advice on my site www.ableize.com

I am trying to improve my search engine position for the search term ‘Disability Directory’ currently page 3 on Google.

Those that are coming up tops have less back links than ableize and a lower PR I currently have 5500 back links (109 are Google) and a PR of 4, a good title & keywords (I think)

The site is 5 months old and I’m thinking it could be that if I have done everything else right along the way but not sure as the search term ‘Disability Health Directory’ comes up 2nd in Google.com but not .co.uk

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

Continue to build your backlinks at a steady rate. If you use directories to build links, submit to 50 a week using your targeted key phrase. Do this until you are where you want to be, and then begin working on a new phrase and continue submitting 5 to 10 a week for your first key phrase forever.

The other thing that I would do is to make sure that the link text is NOT the exact same on every directory that you submit to. Google may look at that and say "Hmm. What are the odds that all 5000 sites link to this site using the EXACT SAME TEXT... Hmmm!"

Keep using the keywords, but add to it and change it up a little.

Jax, if you would place the desired expression onto your signature link at iWEBTOOL would also help a little.

All these replies are true in what they say but they are not applying their brains to the problem.

If you are 2nd on google dot com but not high on google dot co dot uk then your site has insufficient relevance to the UK. This is partly because it is a dot com and not a dot co dot uk domain name. To fix this, make sure your whois info has a UK address on it. Build lots of inlinks from UK sites, and include UK, United Kingdom and other UK-related words within your site and your links text. As Google recognises your relvance to UK rather than USA, your rank will drop in google com and rise in google UK.

Good luck

Hello,
First of all i will try to validate the website :
You have some small errors which can be fixed very easy check here
At least for the & warning just replace it with & and everything will be ok.
This will be a plus for Google.
I noticed you are not using title tag for the links. Is this possible with the directory software you use ? If yes then add title tag, this will be a big plus.
Also, i think the use of nofollow tag in too many places on your website in links that point to your website is wrong, especially here: <a href="http://www.ableize.com" rel="nofollow">www.ableize.com</a>.
Perhaps don't use it at all if you think having a link in the bottom pointing to your website is bad, but i don't think so.Having too many links in the footer is indeed bad.
Also, i notice you don't use <H2>, <H3> and the meta description maybe is too long.
I checked three backlinks and all three have the text link "ableize".If you want to optimize for "Disability Directory" then you should use it more, and combine it with other words, for example "Disability Directory UK"...
And yes, links from UK related sites will improve the serps in UK

Thanks for the great replies, can i ask how do I do the following?

Secondly I have been told that my site is hosted outside the UK! Not sure if this is true but yes the domain is regestered in the UK, I always include UK in site submissions/links and 95% of my backlinks are UK based.

Question is do i need to move the hosting to a UK host?

Again thanks for your helpful replies.

Have fixed these (i think) but not sure about how to do the other suggestions? or if the template lets me, any advice on this greatly received.
