For those of you who are web Gurus, you may find this somewhat ironic..
Actually its darn hilarious

How many of you have created a site in the past, then either abandoned it or forgot about it completely?

Well that was my case with an old hosting forum i created about a year ago.

I have not been to it in about 7 months.

The actual contact address for the forum had actually been lost from my email client so, i wasn't receiving new user notifications and what not ...

For some reason upon noticing the email addy was missing from my client i re entered the info and proceeded to receive almost 7 months of dormant emails Lol

WOW is all i can say Lol i received over 228 new user notifications as well as other junk as to be expected...

For fun i went to see what if any rank the forum had.

I was very surprised to find it was ranked #13 in MSN For " HOST FORUM"

without brackets ... now this is a relatively hard keyword to get ranked high for .. Also It has 0 back links LOL so how or why its sitting on page 1 who bloody knows but u know what ... I will take it ... Who am i to argue with MSN right? lol

So..

There is a lesson to be learned here!
Go check any if not all your old sad forgotten sites ,,, who knows U may be next to me

I've noticed though that it's easier to rank high in MSN than in Google.

as i observe, among the three (MSN, Google and Yahoo) it is easiest to rank on MSN.

anyway, congrats! that's a great achievement buddy!

hmm well i have had always found it easer to rank in google than msn.. Heck i have trouble getting my sites indexed in msn.

But when it comes to google ... I can get Indexed in under 24 hours guaranteed..

Thats the same for me Richard. I find it a bit easier to rank high in Google than MSN. Although, the promotion I do surrounds Google SEO, and I've never really tried to rank in MSN or in Yahoo. But I've been considering trying it to see if I can.

Msn is easier to rank number 1 you know how but google its easy to rank in the first or second page if you know how... which is worth more..

I guess what you mean is that each search engine ranks with different criteria. I have managed to hack my way to a #10 spot on Google and a #7 spot on Yahoo for the same key word - Hawaiian t-shirts - but am nowhere at all on MSN. You would think there would be some things in common that I would show up somewhere on MSN.
