![]() | My domain name was set to expire March 2007, I reregistered my domain name in Febuary for 1 year I owned the name since 2004. I renewed it until March 2008. The domain carrier that registered me cashed my check 2 weeks later way before the expiration date. I noticed last week someone else using my site. I called and asked why and they told me I was suppose to check my email and confirm by email but the portion of the registration renewal form I kept did not mention loggin into my email to do this. Also I asked them when did they send this email for confirmaion so I can check to see if I had it and I checked my email I had no email. I asked them to send me a copy and they did'nt have one. They just wanted to send my renewal payment back to me which I wont cash. I have a copy of the processed check they cashed for my renewal. They did'nt register my domain and now someone else owns it. what should I do. I did everything I needed to do to keep my name. |

![]() | You might have to end up registering your domain name under .net, .org, or similar. Or get in contact with the present owner and maybe come to an agreement with them. ...if you think your chances of winning are VERY high, you can consider a lawsuit, but I wouldn't recommend it. Too much hassle and BS.

![]() | well if your losing revenue from this and you seem to have more proof than your registrar then id say you have a better case than them. The registrar should as a trader have lible insurance but these cases cost a fortune to proceed with. I would go back to them tell them you want to speek to the company director, if you have no luck speeking to the director threaten to name and shame, Dont be passed about let them know this is serious to their comapany rep. Either way there in hot water as if they give you your domain back they will have the new owner to deal with but as youve been the rightful owner all along and will be losing revenue or traffic it should be you they should be keeping happy 1st and foremost, Take legal advice or call trading standards they might be able to advise. |

![]() | I plan on getting a lawyers opinion. I am P-off about this I owned my name since 2004. What pissed me off more thatn any thing is there attitude when I called, basically F@$% u is what they told me. Liberty Names of America dropped the ball and I will take this as far as I can go. My issue is with thenm not the guy who is using it now. At least that what it appears to be. |
