![]() ![]() | I have noticed that my sites have slowed down, but only the once that use the MySQL. I've tested the server status couple of times and it seems that the database goes on and off. Is there any other way I can test the MySQL for it's status? the sites I am talking about are forum.detoam.net, gallery.detoam.net, detoamweb.info, detoam.net/blog. From time to time they load fast, but most often they take 20 to 40 seconds to load. |

![]() | Did you make the tables analize, and repair. Did you check the double entries in tables, which ofter seems to slow down the tables reading, if not... do that now. |

![]() ![]() | Thank You. I did some cleaning up. It seemed to have helped with the loading times. I've noticed that some of the tables were going over their storage quota. Also I have disabled some of the features in the forum and blog that use the database a lot. That sped things up a lot with the side affect being that no cookies get stored so I have to long on everytime. I am just worried because I have a site going there that is very important to not screw up. It's for my main client and I have been sort of weary to build it up anymore for fear that if it starts to be slow I am going to be in deep doodoo. |

![]() ![]() | "deep doodoo" means that the person I am building for is a upcoming political figure. Which means that the site (the greenvote.ca is actually only one of the parts) will recieve a lot of traffic and so on. So if something screws up I am going to be held responsible. The reason that there is only just a forum there is because I have been worried for now to start any major work. This is my first very major work and I got the jitters. As well as I am at same time trying to build up the other parts of the site on other domains and am trying to co-ordinate so it all works smoothly. Plus I am redoing the graphics for that forum. Everything has to be of a green colour of course. So it's gonna take some more time. |
