Thought I would like to share this with you. Do not try this at home, I did this at the risk of one of my sites being banned through experimentation.

In the interest of trying a number of tools to gain PR, Link Popularity and traffic I thought I would try a Link Exchange offer on a site I came across - I immediately thought this was too good to be true, and YES IT WAS.

The site is freerelevantlinks.com (dont try it, it's a waste of time). The site starts by saying
It is supposed to work by placing 5 links on every page of your site (mistake: Google considers this spammy). In return a link to your site will be added to the bottom of a page on another site. The longer you stay in the scheme the more sites link back to your site. OK so give it a try. In the members area the links back to your site can bee seen, if none then you see:


So give them a chance, more than 60 days passed, no links, contact them to see what's going on! The contact page says:

FAQ page tells you what ypu already know - contact admin for help.

OK no links, no contact - must be SCAM!!! Don't be tempted to use this site, it doesn't work. Links now removed from my site!
