Looking for 2 partners

My hosting company has pulled the last straw, and now I am considering moving to a dedicated server. My sites don't pull in enough revenue to manage the cost of a dedicated server, so I'm hoping that there are up to 8 other people that would like to share a dedicated server with me. The server costs $230.00 per month. I need at least 4 other people that can go in on this with me. The server cost will be divided up evenly, as will the cost. If there are 5 of us, then the cost would be $45.00 a month each, which is the most I can afford at this moment in time.

Here are the server stats:

Dual Xeon 2.4GHz Processors
Server Located in Dallas, TX
2048MB DDR RAM
2x80GB SATA drives (160GB)
5 IP's
cPanel w/ Fantastico
Fully managed
99.9% Uptime Guarantee
unlimited domains
unlimited sub-domains
unlimited MySQL and FTP

plus all the standard cPanel features(PHP Python Frontpage etc....)

We will have to come to an agreement as to how many sites we could each host.

I have found an even better deal than that at ahosting.biz. The server is similar to the one above, including cPanel, but I have to contact them to ask a few questions. The price for their server is only $150.00 per month, So 4 of us could split it up for $40.00 per month each, that would be a hell of a deal for all that are involved....

C'mon guys, it's a great opportunity to get a slice of server for only $40.00 a month, and you'd be helping me out a bunch..

Do you have any certain requirements needed in a host?

Like fantastico or such .
Do u prefer a certain control panel?

Cpanel/Whm ok?

Reason i ask is Im in contact with many Web Host's that would be willing to give me "special"

discount. Which i can pass on 2 you, i could problobly get u a reliable dedicated server dirt cheap

Yes, I would need the server to be running Linux, I'm not particular as to what brand of Linux though. Also, it must provide cPanel and include fantastico. I'm not interested in custom skins for cPanel, I prefer the standard one. There must not be any silly limits, like domain name limits, email, mysql, sub-domain or anything like that. It must include 500GB bandwidth, but it can't be unlimited bandwidth, people that offer that are untrustworthy in my book. 80GB or 2x80GB drives. It can be more than that. A minimum of 512MB memory, but I would prefer if it were over 1GB. Oh, and the server must allow me to stream video and audio. That's it. Thanks for helping out Richard.

You can get Intel 2400 with 512 Mb of RAM HDD IDE 40G for $150 from hqhost.net.

why dont you just buy a server PC and host yourself for a one off payment???

Because there would still be colocation fees along with cPanel license fees. It would end up costing more in the long run for me.

An update: I have found a comparble server for $100 per month. So now, all I need is 2 other people to go in on this with me. The contract is for a year, but that's the only catch. Each of us would get 25GB storage and 150GB bandwidth with our own cPanel reseller account abilities for $35.00 each.

Do you really need a dedicated server? Thought about a VPS?
Good option for less money. But of your sites are busy then better go for a dedicated server/

I don't need a dedicated server all to myself. I have about 50 sites, 3 of which are active and take traffic. I don't use much resources, that's why I'm looking for partners, because as of right now there is no need for a dedicated server for my purposes.
