I am looking at building at youtube style video website.

Anyone aware of any open source scripts that are availale?

This just makes it easy to add video your own site if that's what you want to do.

I ended up using pligg CMS and modified it to my needs.

Hmmm... that means basically upload video in YouTube and embed it in your CMS and any CMS would do for that.

What I was asking was perhaps a script that could CONVERT video uploads into flash format in the site itself. Darzuaga seems to be referring to the fact that he has something like that.

Wordpress anybody? I've made a wordpress powered cms, video site, and am now making a user submitted arcade (wparcade.com coming soon!). I do custom if you are still wanting to, but wordpress, with the right tweaking, can do this.
