Default Forum Question for Moderator/Admin

Any particular reason while browsing the forums that post we create still indicate there is an unread message inside that particular forum? I use f5 all the time since I just between about 4 forums and still see forums as unread even though the only message in that forum that is unread is the message I just wrote. Don't know if anyone has pointed this out but I am sure there is an option the Admin can use in the control panel that allows for new posts to be shown as read posts Just an idea

You have to read each individual topic for the forum to be marked read... but I've noticed this too I guess... is this what you mean?

pretty much. its not that big of a deal but when you are accustomed to certain functions in forums it may throw the typical user off a bit. for instance each time I log onto these forums every folder shows new messages even though when i pen the folders there are no new messages.
