Can you tell me what benefit PR provides if your site is already listed high for keywords. My site www.newcondohomes.com is ranked on the first page for key words new condo, new condo homes, and condo homes on Yahoo and sometimes on google. But my PR is just 1. Does it matter?

In that case PR doesnt matter. the Keywords competition is not high then. if it was PR would be very important for you. Besides, PR thing is just for Google, but you get PR by having good quality backlinks, means if you have PR means you have backlinks, backlinks mean PR and traffic (some cases)

I noted already an update of the backlinks at the Google Webmaster Tools. This means that the update will come soon, end of June - mids of July.

If you get high rankings for your desired keywords PR updates might not mean much but a higher PR does help in ranking your site for keywords it has and which you didn't expect would lead to your site. A higher PR might help you get good rankings for keywords in your page which you did not expect to be searched.
