There are some changes for my sites. It happened two weeks ago. My be it was "small update" and it passed yet?

hey guys as far as backlinks ( which one do u think is best idea, blogs or directories )

As i experienced the directory links were devaued by search engines and many of them has very high vertical page architecture. Therefore many webmaster mostly prefer backlinks from blogs.

Hi Bagi, could you just clarify what you mean by high vertical page architecture? Do you mean that the link appears on a page that is too far removed from the home page of the site? (i.e. you'd have to do lots of clicking to reach it by mining in from the top level page?).
I'm suprised that Google sees this as an issue, as its whole business is built around taking searchers directly to content they want without mining down...

....or have I missed the point?

Exactly this is what i meant

One day i recognised when i was running a broken link check with Xenu software that my directory has some lsiting page which can be reached only with 5 clicks

Of course i corrected the mistake immediately, but i guess many owner didn't know about this issue.

Maybe they didnt forget, but they didn't do it right and nothing happened

My backlinks still hasn't settled.

Perhaps their index has become to large to handle for the database and it has screwed up.

No action as such with the PR update, however, I have noticed many sub pages on 1 of my sites have risen.

The site had about 50-60 subpages so for an experiment I made a note of all pages that had PR and checked again about 4 weeks ago. Pages that didn't have any PR had PR1 or 2, so do these keep getting updated throughout or what ?

It still confuses me

I havnt noticed any PR change yet only backlinks.. which seems to taking forever

Update..

Decided to add somthing here . My PR may have not updated but have noticed that a couple domains of mine that previously were shown as NA for PR are now 0 .. not sure what this meens lol
