Adsense only sites can still produce targeted traffic. What really irks me is when I see people offering up click fraud, or ad publishers that use less than honest tactics to force people into clicking the ads.

I am sick when I see a site that has only a search field and tons of af adsense ads.

Oh, you mean sites that have no content? Yeah, those should be banned. I was under the impression that you were talking about sites that are primarily created to host adsense ads.
