Cool the best SEO optimizers

As it says on the lid, who are they and how much are we looking at cost wise?

I dont think anyone would be able to say who is the best... I may be wrong but to me it sounds like who is the best Hockey Player... or something like that... But I bet there are companies that are considered to be "Top" and I do think that this question is good enough to be bumped up in case someone would care to shred some light on the subject... Like best companies list maybe...
Thanks

You can do your own optimizing. SEO's charge a large amount of money, and seldom offer any guarantee's, and when they do, they are being dishonest. What you should do is start off by trying to figure out what keywords or key phrases your potential visitors will use to find you in the search engines.

Yup thats why we're all here. As google and jumpen says, any company that offers guarantees isn't being fully truthful

If you are starting out on SEO, it pays to talk with a pro to get a jump start. SEO takes time and experience. If you are looking to get results faster, working with a pro will help.

I agree that anyone who offers you any guarantee is a scam artist. No one has a firm grip on search engine algorithms which change constantly. I know a lot of scam companies offer doorway pages and hidden texts to get quick results. Once they get the quick results, they grab the money and run. The website they "optimize" may be penalized later.

As My site is top 5 for internet marketing cosultancy on google http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...G=Search&meta= does that make me one of the best You might get different results depending on your geographic location.

There ARE some good ones, but by and large most of them are wannabies (and that includes some of the well known names).

I am a firm believer in learning SEo, and I have a great relationship with most of my clients. Most of my work is providing in depth SEO blue print reports. I went down this route as it is EXACTLY what I did for a client. I totally reviewed the site, made notes, built a strategy and then used the report as the blue print for the work.

I realised a while back that I could work with more people doing it this way. I am not in SEO to make money, I make enough from my own sites. I just love working with small businesses (although I have worked for some big companies like Norwich union).

I would definately suggest you speak to and take advice from a really good seo. Then again you can ask what you like on a forum and get the same advice for free. The advice I shell out on forums is the same as I would say in private (obviously not in as much depth though). so ask and learn is the answer I guess.
