Have you Google backlinks updated?

Hi there,

As a few of you may already know, Google is having a big update, and Google was showing some anomalies in their backlinks search. I searched a couple of days ago (and again today) and I discovered that my backlinks and index results have shot up....is this just me? Or have yours updated to?

If so then please tell me here. Maybe this means the PR update is very near?!

In January during the PR update the number of the backlinks was changed as well. About a week ago in the in the 72.14.20x 63 ip DC block new exported values were shown for some sites, but the day before yesterday they were restored to the old ones.

on all my sites this is hoot down and not only on google but also on msn and yahoo, i dont know why, i heard that google dont allow querrys for sites that have more than 20 or something, so is not shown, and i ehar msn disable link:, but all that i heard on forums so im not sure if thats true or just rumour.

if you can check and see if your big site is showing or no.

The number of backlinks have been moving again, first up then down, ten up again, but no PR movement as yet.

I lost 2 backlinks in Google. 8-2=6

On one of my sites, the backlinks have moved up 40 in the past week. Another one, I lost 1500 links a week and a half ago, and it has gradually increased by 500, so the loss is only 1000 instead of 1500. I haven't seen any PR movement except for possibly on some inner pages.

The link: function in Google has been moving up and down for the last few weeks, but seems to have stabilised for the last 2 now.

I noticed fluctuations of the link number in the last few days. Yesterday my backlinks increased with 3.

G keeps changing backlinks more often this year.

I think Backlinks are only the results from servers algo moving.

And G are running under the testing mod.

I wish I can join their project but I know it is impossible.

I finally starts to see a new number of backlinks when using the metrics-checker at http://www.reladvance.com/metrix/find_metrics_form.php.
For the moment I got an increase from 27 to 38. If it changes again I'll "report" it.

Google is currently updating PR and IBLs.

I see 20 backlinks in Google now instead 6 yesterday. Some datacentres show PR4. But others 0. Should I calculate an average value or wait?

Clearlr you're page rank will be closer to 4 than to 2 (the average) so I'd wait before taking an average. My back link results have halved today.
And yes, MSN have taken away their link: function to prevent bots. I read that you can still get it from hotbot somehow
