Point to be covered while performing Search Engine Optimization for any site.
Directory Submission: The URL of the site is to be submitted in different Directories on daily basis.
The major directories are DMOZ, Yahoo, and MSN. We can find the list of Directories in top search engines.
Many Directories needs to be activated after submission of URL, We need to submit an Email-ID in which incoming emails from the Directory webmaster will be activated.
There should be regular checkup in the major Directories for the inclusion of URL; sometimes the major sites delete the URL if they are not followed up.

No, that's just not true. If your site has been removed from a search engine's index, it was removed for a reason. Before you try to get your site re-indexed, it's best to find out why it was removed in the first place. Submitting to search engines is a useless waste of time. It doesn't help get your site indexed any faster than if the search engines find your site organically.

I agree with jumpenjuhosaphat, if the search engine finds your site that against their TOS or even not meet their requirements, maybe this is the time that they will remove your site on their database. All you have to do is check your site and look for the possible cause why did they remove your site..
