![]() | An insight to the software industry will tell you that any version of web2.0 tends to be shortlived thereby giving way to web 3.0.Web 1.0 was buggy and was hardly worth using web 2.0 did fix up some serious problems but it had some serious shortcomings.Web 3.0 that was launched way back in may 1990 has been an instant success and since then it has been continuously used by top affiliate marketers and reputed seo industry professionals. One thing is for sure web 3.0 isn't only about shopping, entertainment and search. It’s also going to deliver a new generation of business applications that will see business computing converge on the same fundamental on-demand architecture as consumer applications. So this is not something that’s of merely passing interest to those who work in enterprise IT. It will radically change the organizations where they work and their own career paths. Now to the main point specially for the moderators and administrators before you ban me or remove this post assuming it to be copy pasted let me tell you one thing.Every topic that has been existing till date has been begun by someone or the other. This article has been edited by me from news and articles gathered on the internet. It has been thoroughly studied analysed and then finally edited. |

| Senior Member | ...I still don't get why we version the Internet. The World Wide Web and the term "Internet" will (or had better!) be outdated in the next 15 to 20 years.

| Senior Member | At what point do you define 2.5? Wouldn't 2.5 be about halfway through its progress to 3.0? And how do we know when/what "Web 3.0" would be? IMO, the Internet still had better be obsolete soon. I want to see holograms and touch-OLED screens for output devices... I want to see all consumer-end internet access to be wireless, and the world wide web would disappear - or rather - evolve into a more complex and diverse system that would be uniformly connected with a superconduit of different technologies. THAT'S what I want to see.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Web 2.0 still isn't a standard. Most webmasters still define web 2.0 as a design technique. How could we start looking at web 3.0 if we haven't properly defined web 2.0, not to mention made it an integrated part of our sites. Reading your description of what web 3.0 is going to be, it sounds like you are describing web 2.0 technologies. Desktop applications being replaced with internet application and improved interactivity, richer media and the ability to retrieve that media in a more efficient way. That describes web 2.0 technology. |

![]() ![]() | Web 3.0 had been in the works for very long time. They began by calling it the Semantic web. It still is in the works. Both web 1.0 and 2.0 will be here way after 3.0 will come into the works. If ever. And Google certainly would not be put out of the business. They'll for sure to be the first to implement it. They own companies in everything that relates to the web. Why create smart internet when the leader of most powerful country is an idiot. |

Thank you Blogging . I am aware of linkslinky not being active. I haven't officially launched it yet. It is still under construction.![]() I would like to hear a description of web 3.0 from anyone. If anyone can give me a definition of web 3.0 that doesn't describe web 2.0, then I'd really like to hear it. Even if all you are doing is predicting what you think web 3.0 will be, I'd love to hear from you. | |

![]() ![]() | Here is the entry for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semantic_Web Basically they want to make web to be just like a computer. You'll have all the applications on the web. Personally I think it is while might be good for huge companies (I doubt even that) for an average user it would be a waste of time. Imagine the security and privacy issues of having all Your applications stored on the web. Besides You still would need something to access it. And I, for one, would never use a tiny 7 inch screen to browse the web. I have a 31'' TV and a 17" monitor hooked up here and would never change to anything smaller. |
