Default A Friendly piece of advice

Evening all.

Just thought I'd post to give you a bit of advice on something that has worked wonders for me with our website.

First off, I'd read all these tips that said to advertise your site/business locally and thought nothing of it.

Recently though, we have done various things, advertised in a local monthly newspaper that gets delivered to 15,000 homes in our town(cost approx £28 about $56) we put a couple of small ads in local free weekly papers (cost approx £10-£15 per month ($20-30).

We then spoke to a friend who was running a stand at a local fair, he offered to put our business cards and leaflets out.

Since this has happened (in the space of about 2-3 weeks) we have took 6 orders totalling approx £2500 - £3000 worth of business and are in discussions with a fairly large local company to design and develop there website!

Anyway, just wanted to share and let people know that advertising locally DOES help, we were stuck in a smog trying to get all internet based work through search engines etc, but this has really shocked us into viewing the wider/closer picture!

I would recommend you trying - hope it helps!

Mark

Thank you. This kind of advertising are sometimes under estimated. If you know the audience of a news paper, why not try it.
