Default Two Days Per Month Wasted on Aimless Web Surfing

More than two-thirds of UK Internet surfers interviewed admit to an occasional "wilf," or surfing aimlessly on the Web. Nearly one quarter estimate they wilf more than 30 percent of the time they are online at work. That's two full workdays every month of non-work-related Internet surfing -- perhaps an important wake-up call for employers worldwide.

Hi there,

I hate daft statistics, people could say you don't work enough if they added all the time you take a breath. I mean OK 2 days every month sounds a lot, and for a big corporation with a lot of employees, this could improve their productivity.

But allowing employees to take tiny breaks every now and again, especially when they work on a computer all day - actually improves productivity....don't believe me? look at Google.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

Statistically speaking...1 in 5 people hate statistics!!

But Kieran is correct about the short breaks, you only have to look at Japan, they have promoted this theory for years.
In fact if you fancy a 5 minute Snooze during the day, they allow it.

Everyone can make statistics on the spot... 40% of all people know that..

Yeah heard this on "Smooth FM" yesterday (Don't ask) but as Keiran Said.. look at google, They allow staff to just bum about all day and no whatever they want.. they even let them bring their pets in..

Where i work at the moment, my boss allows to developers to spend 1 day (Friday) to do what ever building their skill or doing somthing they enjoy.

Good little one liners there, funny. But it is true, if you enjoy going to work you will work harder. I mean, I have never had a job where I jump out of bed and look forward to my day, and that's because there is nothing fun.

That is why I want to work for myself, and every one who works for me will be guaranteed fun, I would hate for me to be some one's boss and see they are not enjoying themselves.

Regards,
Kieran Taylor.

Too many people don't know time management and have a lot of time to lose.
