Open your databases and compare all table fields. If they are the same you can import items with no problem.

The best thing to do would probably test it and see. You should be able to import the table if it's a pretty basic table, most tables are. If the db file contains functions that aren't available in your version of MySQL, then you might have a problem. But, the import file should just be a text file, so you won't have any issues as far as that is concerned.

If You are importing the db just to add the categories and the links You have than You don't have to worry. I do that all the time with my directories. I just changed all of my directories from 456 categories to 700. If You are importing the settings and all that than I really don't know. I can explain in a bit better detail how I do that if You'd like.

Ah, not what i was looking for.
The databases can be imported easily enough, what the problem is that the versions of the programmes are different and therefore not compatable to do this way.

Okay got it. For that You might want to ask the PHPLD. I have posted a question there asking if and how it can be done.
