![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dont know if anyone can help? Im trying to import directory database from one site to another. The problems i have are.. Both mysql versions are different Bothe phpld versions are differnt ie v2 and v3 Am i on a no hope road?...or cn this be done? |

![]() | Open your databases and compare all table fields. If they are the same you can import items with no problem. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The best thing to do would probably test it and see. You should be able to import the table if it's a pretty basic table, most tables are. If the db file contains functions that aren't available in your version of MySQL, then you might have a problem. But, the import file should just be a text file, so you won't have any issues as far as that is concerned. |

![]() ![]() | If You are importing the db just to add the categories and the links You have than You don't have to worry. I do that all the time with my directories. I just changed all of my directories from 456 categories to 700. If You are importing the settings and all that than I really don't know. I can explain in a bit better detail how I do that if You'd like. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ah, not what i was looking for. The databases can be imported easily enough, what the problem is that the versions of the programmes are different and therefore not compatable to do this way. |
