![]() | I just thought of a good idea...well sort of.... Wouldn't it be great if you could get multimillion pound firms to pay 0.01pence/cence to charity for every spam email you receive. Basically you forward the spam to a massive internet bin, the bin gets processed, for each spam they donate 0.01p/0.01c to the charity fund. Hey...it's for charity..! Would be a good marketing spin for large firms. The charity money would go towards saving the Rainforest trees. They could say do it for 1 week, would be interesting to see how much has been made through junk email.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, 0.01 pence/cent is too much, it would be too much for any party to send. I mean, one of my false e-mail addresses (which I used for signing up for things) used to receive around 1,000 spam messages a day, no lie. So that would mean for me alone the charity would have to donate £100 a day. Maybe a figure of about 0.0001 pence/cent would be feasible. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

| Member | Yeah, companys would not b willing to spend that much on each email. On average email marketing companys send over 100,000 at day. Crazy

1000 emails at .01 pence would only equal 10 pounds per day. But still, that would be a ridiculous amount of money, when you consider that world wide, probably more than 1,000,000,000 spam mails get sent on a daily basis....If all of those were donated, it wouldn't take but a few weeks, and Bill Gates would be broke.

Oops, your right, I got a phone call from a spam e-mail I replied to, I replied just to see what would happen, he sounded like a Russian mobster . He rang me and said, "Kieran, I have sent the e-mail back, I expect a phone call to the number I provided, bye!" and then put the phone down...doesn't matter because he is going to give me £17.5m from overseas accounts...yeah right!Regards, Kieran Taylor.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, that's always fun, getting telephone calls from Russian mobsters... ![]() I give fake everything when I sign up to anything new. I get emails with my home address listed in cities I've never even visited. There's just too much spam on the internet to ever be honest about your personal information unless it's a foundation or business that you personally know that you can trust. |

I wonder if he is a member of this forum, about a minute after I posted that he rang back but there was no signal from his end because I couldn't hear anything. Regards, Kieran Taylor.
