Default 3 ways to start building links
when i start building links for my new site i always start with these 3 ways.

1. Submit url to web directories
- you can start with addurl.nu. they have a list of almost 1000 free directories.

2. write articles and submit them to article directories.
- here's a huge list of them: http://www.articler.com/9746/big-lis...rectories.html

3. participate and join forums related to the site you are promoting.

I suggest making a FAQ tread (sticky) for basic questions.

I just started joining the forums and posting and I've also started submitting to the directories. Now I have spam coming in from every directory. How do you deal with the spam.
