How to promote a blog?

I started a new blog about Making Money on the Internet and I am looking for tips on how to promote a blogger.com blog. If you are running a blog and getting a lot of traffic, please let me know how to were able to achieve this. Thanks

As far as I know the best way to achieve huge traffic on a blog is to exchange links with other blogs so that people can reach you from other popular blogs, to get the best results I would exchange with similar blogs with similar content, so your blog has the same interest as the one they are reading when they click on your link.

Also directories, forum posting, MySpace, etc can help considerably. Hope this helped.

There some website that generates traffic; like blogexplosion (I just can remember 1 right now), just search on google. You can be a member there and earn credits visiting others' blog and spend on your blog.

Again technorati is also a nice website that indexes the tags.

Hopefully this two methods work for you.

Yes this is untargeted traffic and is no use to no body, all it does is waste bandwidth and time. I suggest you don't use them.

Submit it to blog directories and feeds
Participate in forums and blog forums
Update content
Submit it to social bookmarking site.

Post quality article over the blog and buy link from some good quality directories.

you musr promote your site like the others . there is nothink difference with the others . the difference is the cms system that you use

submit your blogs into good blog directories on a regular basis.make it content relative so that visitors relate to your article for data.posting your blogs and articles on forums has a risk of getting banned so avoid it.

if you are just starting with your site, i suggest you submit it first to web directories and article directories. there tons out there if you search.

you can start at addurl.nu. they have a list of almost 1000 directories where you can submit your site for free.

Try to concentrate on Blog post exchange also. (THREE-WAY EXCHANGE). Try to post in different forums to review your blog. If it is worth, few of the visitors will bookmark it....

try to have quality articles first and later submit your blog to digg, netscape and the rest of services like this... ping your blog all the time, look on google for ping a blog...
