 |  google sitemap, how many? I read i think on this forum that maximum is 300m sitemaps and on google they say 1000. I use only 2 sitemaps 1 is xml and other is txt becouse xml is maybe not working properly. I used phpsitemapNG tool to amke sitemaps, so plz tell me how many sitemaps i need? and why would i create 300 sitemap files?

| Re: google sitemap, how many? Why do you think the more sitemaps the better. I heard that three ones are enough: xml for Google, txt for Yahoo, htm for You  |

| Re: google sitemap, how many? ok thanks i understand now, but tell me why can i in Google sitemap section(you know that webmaster tools section) submit more sitempas to them? I submitted 2, do i need to submit more? And whats best thing to do sitemap? I used that phpsitemap generator, but not sure if thats good?

| Re: google sitemap, how many? No, you should submit only one xml sitemap for each website. At this page you will see plenty of sitemap generators adviced by google.

| Re: google sitemap, how many? I think you need several if your site is gigantic. Some of the "sitemap producers" are only able to spider a few thousand webpages. My website got only 19 pages, but I have used two sitemaps once when Google refused to index one of the pages. I delivered a separate sitemap for that page. It got indexed quickly after that.
