I would like to know how to find out my ranking in particular keyword.
I own funny videos website and i wish to know how far from top 10 i m in funny videos keyword and other keywords too.

is this possibles?
I try few softwares but they say im unranked. or my rank is not in top 10.

Anyways this question makes me feel i should change keywords for my page?
less competitive and how do i know if keyword is less competitive?

thanks for your help guys.

I know overture software but im not sure how i need to use it to find good keywords for my site, any ideas?

You can judge the competition level by the number of indexed pages. You will see this number at the right top corner if you make a searching query for the give keyword or keyphrases. Another important factor can be the PR value of the top ten pages. You will see this searching after installing this firefox seo extension.

This link will redirect you to a ranking checker script, powered by iwebtool.

You will see the result if your site is in the top 100.

You can use the Google Webmaster Central site. It has tools to help gauge your position in the SERP's.

I used all that websites and i already have seo extensions in my browser, and i thank you alot for this info.

Now i know how to find how many competitors is there, now i need to know what words to use?

Is there some way to find out what words to use?

Im thinking first to go to google and write words to see less competitive words(but this sound to me like a several hours job) and then i optimize my website to that words?

and another question is: M i indexed by words i used in my metatag or i can be indexed in words i didnt use as metatag?

I thing one of the most crucial step in optimizing websites is the keyword selection. Personally I use the keyword suggestion tool together to check their accuray:google trend,
the google's keyword selector tool,
the overture application,
watching my statistic and actual rankings.

Meta keywors loose frome their weight day by day. There is two very imoprant factor that you should handle: the <title> tag and you backlinks.

Ok now i can find how many competitors and how many query's for particular keyword is on google. But still i cannot find good keyword, i don't want to use some weird keyword just to be listed?
Or i need to add 1 weird keyword just to get listed?

And how many keywords should i use IBP says less than 21, now i use 18, so i can add 1 more word, do i add weird word?

About an amount of keywords. Different tools advice a different amount. Submitexpress demands not more than 25 keywords but some other promice that up to 1000 character is the best. I am talking about description meta.

And did you change your words in later stage to other words?
And is my website listed only in words that i used as keywords?

I mean if i write in google search engine word Funny will i be listed if i have funny keyword on site and if i don't i wont be listed?

Sure im interested in link exchange, my webpage use autolinkexchange, so you will need to provide correct reciprocal url and after that its all automatic, or you can just add in trade machine, so it will be in your interested to send more traffic because then you will also get more back, or you can just submit your funny site to our top site webpages and add it to website directory.
I suggest you do all of this, hehe

I did meta tag analyze and got thsi errors, any idea how to fix them?
