 |  Promotion Tip This is an easy one any website owner can do. Go into your control panel and check out your stats. Look for your error pages. Every big site has a few. Start with the errors that have happened numerous times, go into the area in your cpanel where you create redirects and redirect those error's either to your main page or one of your advertisements.... You will be surprised how much something like this can help... |

| Re: Promotion Tip Excellent idea! You may want to consider recycling obsolete page file names, also. I have a custom page not found to handle typo errors, but I recently added a new page saved with a previously deleted file name and upon launch the new page was PR3. Most will start out PR0. Jim

The action plan depends on why the error exists and whether the file was deleted intentionally or missing. In the case of a graphic, my guess is it was needed, so your GIF is probably filed wrong on the server. Upload the corrected one in the proper /images subfolder and you're all set. If you deleted a page (or graphic) intentionally, you should consider a custom 404 Error Page to redirect visitors to your main site if they bookmarked something that is now missing. Keep in mind search engines may have pages indexed that you decide later to remove. Search the help files from your hosting service. The answers to your other questions including redirects are probably there. Good luck. Jim
