![]() | Does anyone know if there is a way to eliminate the bandwidth error message that appears???? I'm building a website now and really don't want users seeing error messages when they try to use a site feature, so I'm really hesitant to add the tools to the site. Is there a way to host the scripts from my own site so bandwidth would not be an issue with iWeb??? Or is there another way to eliminate the problem that I'm not aware of? I love the tools, but the error messages look bad................. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi there, Well it is basically a scheme to attract users to iWEBTOOL, think, if iWEBTOOL gave the tools brand-free and didn't use that usage limit, iWEBTOOL would receive no credit for the tools, and at the same time would be using iWEBTOOL bandwidth and server usage. I think the owners are creating a script for these tools so you can host them on your own server, but I am not sure. Would be a good idea maybe. To answer your question, no, there isn't anything you can do at this moment in time. Sorry. Regards, Kieran Taylor. |

![]() | Thanks Kieran. I understand the purpose behind it, but what I don't understand is why they do not offer an alternative to it. I may be wrong but it seems like it would make good business sense to offer the tools without a bandwidth limit for those willing to pay a nominal one-time fee per domain. That way they would have the best of both worlds.......attracting users from those who use the tools for free and revenue from those willing to pay a small fee. I love the iWebTool site and find the tools very useful. However, the error message issue creates a problem for those who expect their site to have a professional appearance and run smoothly. Error messages tend to repel visitors, not attract them. Hopefully the staff will introduce a program such as the one I mentioned above and provide webmasters with an alternative to the current setup. |
