![]() | Hi Google Banned I've got 2 domains, I bought the .co.uk and set up the site and shortly after bought the .com so vistors would be able to get to my site in case they couldn't remember is it was .com or.co.uk. The .co.uk is PR3, a small site with just 6000 visitors a month, so no big deal. I had the .com redirect to the .co.uk - this was called cloaking an extra couple of pounds from the company who sold me the domain and also included a title and keywords. For 4 years this caused me no problem, and really the visitor numbers through .com were tiny. But this month Google have banned my .com site. This doesn't cause me too much hassle, but its annoying as to why it has suddenly happened - I'm guessing my redirect having a title is the problem? any advice would be appreciated as to why exactly my .com has been banned suddenly after 4 years!! thanks |

![]() | I am sorry. But it is well-known that Google hates redirect sites. Why are you surprised? |

![]() | Surprised because I did not know that. So is it possible to have both .co.uk and .com name domains? I am guessing only if both exist as separate sites with no duplication. So how come big companies don't get banned, or do they? eg. Boots.co.uk redirects to .com |

![]() | I think it is a matter of the time. Your site has not been banning for 4 years as well. Go to Google and read their webmaster guideline. |

![]() | I doubt it is because of the redirect. It took 4 years for them to ban you because of a redirect, I don't think so. I have redirects on a few of my domains & nothing bad happens. |
