 |  Top 3 Google but no results Yahoo, MSN?? I am approuched by a new customer for an SEO job on a diving related website. When I did a research on this project I noticed the site has excellent listings in top 10 Google for the best related keywords possible. Funny is to see that there are almost no results at all for Yahoo, MSN or ASK. The website is build about 4 years ago and has only about 10 incoming links. The page title, content , Headers and other are not bad at all but can be better. Does anybody has an idea what the reason can be? Would it be possible to loose Top positions in Google if I start changing the site to get better results in other search engines? Any advice or tips would be welcome. Thanks a lot. |

You must put many related keywords aside from your targeted keywords. You can add more quality backlinks, good and informative contents on your site. 'coz yahoo and msn is after the contents while google is after the quality backlinks...  example your targeted keywords are: samurai x, kenshin himura use this related keywords: rurouni kenshin, battousai, heart of sword |

| Re: Top 3 Google but no results Yahoo, MSN?? I've also heard that Google puts more emphasis on "off page" factors like links, and Yahoo/MSN puts more emphasis on "on page" factors like title tags, meta tags, keyword density, etc. Not sure if it's true, though. |

| Re: Top 3 Google but no results Yahoo, MSN?? I don't think so. I checked site with PR0 and only 6 backlinks in Google and it placed up to #1 for some keywords and other related sites with higher PR were placed beneath. It happened I think only because on-page SEO. |

| Re: Top 3 Google but no results Yahoo, MSN?? Msn works almost exclusively to page titles. Yahoo almost exclusively to number of backlinks regardless of PR. Google works on Related backlinks with PR etc. Thats why you are coming top of google.

 | Re: Top 3 Google but no results Yahoo, MSN?? For Yahoo, you need lot's of Internal Links. For MSN you need lot's of backlinks. For Google, they focus more on domain name and website optimization so though links are important, you could theoretically rank well too. Regards, Edmund Ng |
