| Member | Hi all, i realy need your help on some personal matters. At the end of this month (April) I will be leaving my place of work due to health problems. I wll be ok for a few months, but what i plan on doing is developing a network of sites, that i can control at my house. I now Currently own a brand spanking new VPS Server with WHM / cPanel and i got all the resources and skill needed for building a site. But for the moment, because of my situation.. i need to get things rolling sooner rather than later. Should i start working on a new site (on whatever product) and work on it over a period of 12 month SEO'ing it. OR Should i purchace a ready developed site (Like the ones in website selling topic) and work on it from there on and work allongside with adSence or an better programe. The only downfall i feel about that is that i wont know exactly what has gone into the site (As i havent developed it myself) and it's going to leave me in the deepend without and knowlege of running this website. Dose anyone else have any ideas, because i am going to be out of work and i'm needing a resonable income to support myself throught my trials. I'll pass my contact details (Post, Mobile number) if anyone wants to talk personaly..Aslong as your not a sweatty pervert! And i can understand your accent lol Please help me on this matter, i know you guys will! Rich

That would be fine if you have enough money to sustain yourself until that happens. If you buy a ready made site, like you said, you won't know what went into making it function, and it could take you a lot of time to find and fix errors or make changes to the code. Something else that you could consider is taking on a partner to help alleviate some of the costs that go into building a successful site and take off some of the work load as well. Something that many successful people do is spend a few days on a site building it and promoting it, then they put adsense on the site, and move on to another site. I've heard of people making incredible livings from doing that, so you should consider that too. Are you hosting your server from a home internet connection, or are you leasing rack space? |
