Yahoo loves TONS of backlinks... If you notice you will see that all the top listings on yahoo have a PR of 4 or 5 never PR 0.

not exactly. i had seen competitor with poor backlink get ranked top1.

A second thing that yahoo loves is the timelife of the url (not only the home page)
