Ideal # of Google Sitemaps

Just wondering what would be a good number of sitemaps to submit to google to help get more pages indexed, have googlebots crawl your site, etc.

300... But it depends on the content - Good content Google will index it all!
bad content 50% indexed.

Are you talking about xml sitemaps? If yes than my answer is there is no ideal number. When googlebot visit your site the xml sitemap is the first thing that will be crawled.

If your site architecture is good enough: you have a static sitemap that points to every important parts of the page, and you don't have too much vertical level, and your content is unique I am sure all af your pages will be indexed if you have some backlinks.

i have 1, i created 1 sitemap and uplaoded it on my ftp root, and i submited that sitemap to google, i dont see why would i submit same sitemap once more?
