Arrow Logical SEO is the only way to go

What most people hate is the time you have to wait for Google to do it's next update... i find this the hardest to deal with especially now as there is one so imminent.

However, patience is the key to SEO (i beleive) mixed with logical decisions and totally ignoring shortcuts (as these get you into strife later on).

I have found the greatest success by following these simple steps. It has brought my websites PR up to 5 in a relatively short time (roughly 6 months)

For a completely new site:

1. choice of domain name is critical
2. join a program such as LinkMarket initially to gain some relevant back links
3. submit your website to high quality directories in relevant sections only
4. start a reciprocal link campaign with individual websites
5. develop good site architecture
6. keep content updated and changing constantly

By keeping it simple you will get good results in Google.

BLOODY UPDATE.... hurry up!

Rob

For 1# point. If you look the result of SEO World Championship. The winner not really use your step.

for example, www.seoremake.com, this site didn't used anything wordl about globalwarming at his domain name.

I don't understand what you mean... i did a search for "global warming" and that site was no where...

It looks like a blog to me, as well, and soon i believe blogs will receive negatives to them from search engines as too many people are creating them with irrelavent information.

Landing on a blog by Joe Bloggs who knows very little about the subject from a search is bloody annoying as the information is usually not backed up and is personal opinion.

This makes it bad for the good blogs... they are too easy to create.
