Default PHP and SEO

Hi,

I made a lot of websites in HTML, photoshop and flash and untill now I was doing not bad to get good results in search engines, focus on basics like Title, description, keywords, content, headers, links and others.

For new bigger websites I am planning to start design in PHP using Joomla or Mambo.
Will it be a lot more difficult optimazing my pages in PHP? Does anyone have any tips or expericience with this.

Thanks for any feedback on this.

Koen

Joomla has mods that you can use that improve the way the site is SEO'd. You can also do a search on mod_rewrite, and learn how to format your URI's to be search engine friendly. With PHP, it's common to see URI variables, and it is said that search engines give less weight to pages with extensive variables. mod_rewrite will allow you to rewrite the URI's so that it appears to the search engines as though each page is a static page.

PHP is powerfull language, But if you use dynamic url its not good for search enggine, you should use mod_rewrite for Search Enggine Friendly URL (if you use custom coding).

If you use jomla/mambo, you can set your website to Search Engine Friendly URLs, login then go to Global Configuration then set to yes on Search Engine Friendly URLs on SEO tab.

dynamic sites can also rank well if properly optimized and promoted. so either you use php or asp or any other just remember to design pages keeping basics in mind
